  1. Later on we are gonna have to pay the company to get an intern

  2. Yeah sure it would be better but what you have is already is great deal why complain about it. Plus businesses wouldnt care if interns went on strike its not like they are paid to work there. Interns already save you a ton in college so you don’t have to pay for the class, instead you get human capital in investing in yourself and work at the company and getting vauluable training you can use at a real job.

  3. wouldn’t that be better if you also got some money, you know, for your labor?
    for your time?
This problem can be easily solved if all unpaid interns collectively refuse to work for free.

  4. Actually having an internship helps you more than it helps the “Capitalist”. Colleges even count some internships as credit hours which save you hundreds maybe more. Plus people who are hiring see you have that experience and you are automaticly more valuable to that business because they don’t have to spend money on you to train you. Its simple economics. Its an investment in your self and technically they are paying you in valuable on the job experience you use in the future.

  6. When I called them out on it they removed the old ads.

  7. There have been numerous ads for unpaid internships for TYT online. TYT is corporate and full of shit, they advocate raising the minimum wage but don’t abide by their on philosophy. I’m convinced they are just in it for the money and could give a shit about social justice.

  8. how do you know, tyt doesnt pay their interns?

  9. Plan for White Genocide that “anti-racists” implement

    1. Flood White Countries & ONLY White countries w/ non-whites.

    2. Force integrate these same immigrants in White Communities. This is all done w/ the aid of Federal Laws.

    3. Push interracial relationships night & day in all the media and newspaper advertisements; in White Countries & ONLY White Countries.

    4. Anyone that objects is called a racist. They inform us of our inevitable brown future.

    Anti-racist is codeword for anti-Whites.

  10. This is funny considering TYT uses unpaid interns. Fuck TYT and their neo-liberal bullshit lies.

  11. Then that person would “NEED” the person. If you are just doing coffee work then probably you’re not needed which means you should just quit.

  12. You have to know a business doesn’t run on free milk. There must be demand for the supply. If there isn’t any jobs then that means there’s not much demand to employ. The government doesn’t pay to hire people. It is businesses that pay. If you tell the government to pay the business so they can hire then there will be more money to hire you!

  13. I think an internship should only last like 6 mos-2 yrs (max). I’d like to say 3 mos-1 yr. & should incorporate tasks applicable to the profession. for unpaid especially!

  14. I worked at an unpaid internship at the age of 28 years old for a whole year. I originally thought I was being taken advantage of, but then I realized that the business was just doing the most logical (profit maximizing) thing they could do at the time, which is a normal and rational move from their perspective. Anyway, I still don’t have a job at 29 and I can’t get unemployement benefits or other government help, so I have been living in my car and in casino hotels playing mid/low stakes poker

  15. How to turn an internship into a FT job:
Start following your boss when he leaves the office. Find out where he goes. Be discrete and take a camera. If your boss goes straight home, be patient and continue following him.
Remember, every senior manager has skeletons in his closet. It could be an affinity for call girls, a cocaine habit, or a fairy he keeps on the side. Whatever the case, once you have pictures of his perfidy, you’ll get whatever you want.
    Management is terrified of scandal.

  16. This is funny coming from tyt considering they use unpaid interns. I wonder if the guy who put this piece together was an unpaid intern.

  17. Most unpaid internships are illegal. There is a six point sheet online that explains what is required for an internship to be legally unpaid, and it;s extremely difficult to comply. It’s a new slave labor that leave broke college grads like me homeless.

  18. If making and carrying coffee is so worthless, why do Starbucks employees at least get minimum wage?

  20. Seriously, when interning, make sure you intern at the BEST and most PROFESSIONAL companies in whatever sector you work at. For example, in investment banking, aim to intern at companies such as BNP Paribas, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, where people who intern are PAID. If you aim to intern at some unknown random company in a bad sector, then don’t be surprised about not getting paid.

You think unpaid internships are bad, now people have to work for welfare. Welcome to the new world order

  21. Unpaid Internships is voluntary slavery. People should protest to change the laws that allow corporations to have indefinite internships. The open position must be filled with a permanent position by 6 months or be fined. This is a human rights abuse issue. If everyone is doing fraudulent unpaid internships with no real intentions of hiring, they should be sued.

  22. Even better when you’re paying to work.
